Community Integration Specialist (Part-Time)

$23.00 – $27.54 an hour – Part-time (4-hour minimum shifts)
Job Description
Are you a compassionate professional looking to make a tangible difference in the lives of others? Azura Support Services is a boutique provider of premium community integration and advocacy for seniors and adults with disabilities. We don't just "provide care"—we enrich lives by breaking down barriers to community participation.
We are seeking Community Integration Specialists to lead high-quality, 4-hour outings. You will be the professional "bridge" that helps our clients enjoy dinners, concerts, theatre, and social events safely and with dignity.
Responsibilities

Active Engagement: Facilitate and support full participation in community, social, and cultural activities.

Professional Advocacy: Represent the client’s needs and rights in public spaces, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations and respect.

Safety & Crisis Management: Utilize CPI (Crisis Prevention) and First Aid skills to manage behavioural or medical needs on-the-fly.

Transportation: Provide safe, reliable transport to and from community venues.

Clinical Documentation: Submit professional session notes that track social and cognitive progress for family review.
Qualifications

Education: Enrollment in or completion of a Social Service Worker (SSW), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), DSW, or Nursing program.

Certifications: * Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB approved).

CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification (or willingness to obtain).

Clearance: Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSS) (issued within the last 6 months).

Transport: Valid G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and a "people-first" attitude.
Schedule

Casual/Part-time to start.

Must be available for 4-hour blocks.
